Η Φωτογραφική Εταιρία Κύπρου – Τμήμα Πάφου διοργανώνει τον διεθνή διαγωνισμό THE WALL με στόχο την έκθεση φωτογραφιών μεγάλου μεγέθους σε υπαίθριο δημόσιο χώρο. Με τη συμβολή φωτογράφων τόσο από την Κύπρο, όσο και από το εξωτερικό, ένας δημόσιος τοίχος θα ντυθεί φωτογραφικά. Η εκδήλωση εντάσσεται στο πρόγραμμα εκδηλώσεων του προγράμματος MoPP2019. Η εγκατάσταση φωτογραφιών θα παραμείνει στο χώρο για 11 μήνες στην κεντρική πλατεία της πόλης. Υπολογίζεται ότι οι επισκέπτες του The Wall 2019 θα είναι περισσότεροι από 40 000. Από τους συμμετέχοντες ζητάμε τέσσερις έγχρωμες φωτογραφίες (σε οριζόντιο προσανατολισμό μόνο) με θέματα το αστικό περιβάλλον/ζωή (URBAN) ή τη φωτογραφία δρόμου (STREET PHOTOGRAPHY).

Οι φωτογραφίες θα κριθούν από ανεξάρτητη 3μελή επιτροπή

Οδηγίες / Όροι

• Κάθε φωτογράφος θα πρέπει να στείλει τις φωτογραφίες του σε ψηφιακή μορφή ηλεκτρονικά στο email  thewallpafos@gmail.com μέχρι τις 31 Μαϊου 2019.
• Σε περίπτωση που οι φωτογραφίες απεικονίζουν πρόσωπα εν αγνοία τους ή χωρίς την έγκριση τους, την ευθύνη φέρει αποκλειστικά ο φωτογράφος στον οποίο ανήκει το έργο και όχι η ΦΕΚ-Τμήμα Πάφου.
• Κάθε φωτογράφος μπορεί να συμμετέχει με

• Φωτογραφίες (δικαίωμα συμμετοχής: €10) ή
• Φωτογραφίες (δκαίωμα συμμετοχής €15)

• Η μεγάλη πλευρά των φωτογραφιών θα πρέπει να είναι 1000 – 1400 pixels σε ανάλυση 300 dpi.
• Το δικαίωμα συμμετοχής μπορεί να πληρωθεί μέσω paypal στο λογαριασμό: thewallpafos@gmail.com (παρακαλούμε να σιγουρευτείτε ότι το καθαρό πληρωτέο ποσό στο λογαριασμό μας είναι 10Ευρώ) ή  με κατάθεση του ποσού στο λογαριασμό  της ALPHA BANK Κύπρου. (IBAN:CY55 0090 0651 0006 5110 1006 6657, SWIFT: ABKLCY2N). Σε κάθε περίπτωση, αντίγραφο της απόδειξης πληρωμής θα πρέπει να επισυνάπτεται στο email που στέλλονται οι φωτογραφίες.
• Η ΦΕΚ – Τμήμα Πάφου διατηρεί το δικαίωμα να χρησιμοποιήσει τις φωτογραφίες που θα διακριθούν στην προώθηση της έκθεσης αυτής (καθώς και σε μελλοντικές προωθητικές ενέργειες της), με αναφορά στον δημιουργό στον οποίο και ανήκει το έργο.
• Συμμετοχές από το εξωτερικό γίνονται δεκτές.

Αποτελέσματα / Έκθεση

• Τα αποτελέσματα θα ανακοινωθούν στην ιστοσελίδα της ΦΕΚ – Τμήμα Πάφου (www.cpspafos.com), στην ιστοσελίδα της ΦΕΚ (www.cps.com.cy) και στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης. Επίσης, θα σταλούν στα email όλων των συμμετεχόντων.
• Θα επιλεγούν τριάντα φωτογραφίες.
• Οι φωτογραφίες θα εκτίθενται στο κέντρο της  Πάφου.
• Οι φωτογραφίες θα εκτυπωθούν και θα ετοιμαστούν για εξωτερική έκθεση  σε μέγεθος 53χ80 cm.
• Η κλίμακα των φωτογραφιών πρέπει να είναι 2:3 (έτοιμη από τους φωτογράφους), διαφορετικά ο υπεύθυνος της έκθεσης θα τις μετατρέψει στην κλίμακα αυτή.
• Οι διοργανωτές θα αναλάβουν το κόστος εκτύπωσης και ετοιμασίας της υπαίθριας έκθεσης.

An assessment of the proposals by a committee of judges will be made based on the following criteria:

• The contiguity of the photos to the specific subject.
• The coherence of all photos as a united set.
• The artistic and sensational quality of the set of photos.
• The uniqueness of the proposal

 Prizes

• Solo exhibitions for 42 days – Top 10 stories will be exhibited in 10 different spaces in Pafos city for 42 days at no extra cost. Printing, mounding and installation are covered by the organizers. Information about the artist and contact info will be also displayed [Exhibition Duration: 20th May – 30th June.
• Central exhibition – Top 5 stories will be exhibited in Athens in collaboration with iFocus gallery in Autumn 2019.
• Projections – Top 15 stories will be projected in two different locations: a. House of Letters and Arts, Pafos and b. Fotodos Photography Club, Nicosia.
• Publications – Top 10 stories will be published in PHOTOnet magazine, one of the most popular photography magazines in Greece. Also, reports about the winners will be posted in the web.
• 25% Discount – All participants will get a 25% discount on fee payment for next year’s PUBLIC ART open call.

Terms & Conditions

• Each photographer can participate with more than one stories. Each story should be submitted differently. Along with the photos, a brief artist’s statement (max 100 words) must be also sent; this statement should describe the theme selected in brief or whatever the photographer wishes to mention for his/her submitted work.
• Each photographer must send the photos by email:
• Send your photos and submission form at publicartpafos@gmail.com
• Write PUBLIC ART in the subject-title of the email.
• Each photo must be named with the portfolio title  followed by an increasing numbering. For example, if the portfolio title is “A walk at the city”, then each photo should be named as ‘A walk at the city 01’, ‘A walk at the city 02’, ‘A walk at the city 03’, e.t.c.
• In case the photos represent people who were photographed without taking notice or without taking their permission, any responsibility lies on the photographer who made the shooting and not the Cyprus Photography Society (CPS) – Paphos Department.
• The large side of the submited photos must be at least 2400 pixels at 300 dpi.
• The participation fee is €20. Members of the Cyprus Photography Society, last years’ (2018) participants and early submissions (until 20^th March) are eligible at a 25% discount.  Participations without paying the participation fees in advance will not be accepted.
• The Cyprus Photography Society (CPS) – Paphos Department has the right to use the photos which will be prized for the promotion of this exhibition (as well as for any other promotion activities in future), with reference to the name of the artist with the selected portfolio.
• Latest submission date: 14^th of April, 2019.
• Photos that had been exhibited in previous Public Art exhibitions cannot be submitted even as part of a new portfolio.
• Participation from abroad are accepted.
• The way each portfolio will be exhibited (size and display) may vary according to each space of exhibition.
• Declaration of consent
  By participating in Public Art 2019 you consent that your personal details (name and email) may be used by the Cyprus Photographic Society and its Departments for the purposes mentioned below:
  • For the organizers to communicate you by email, if necessary, about the contest.

    Results / Exhibition

• The results will be placed at the web page of the Cyprus Photography Society (CPS) – Paphos Department (cpspafos.com), the web page of the Cyprus Photography Society (CPS) (www.cps.com.cy), the CPS facebook page, the MoPP facebook page as well as in the media.
• The results and exhibitions will be advertised in the Media and internet.
• The selected participant photographers will be asked to submit a brief biography.
• The Cyprus Photography Society (CPS) – Paphos Department will be responsible to cover ALL COSTS and services for the exhibitions: printing, framing or mounding, hanging.

Το μέλος μας Ειρήνη Μπουρνού παρουσιάζει (σε προβολή) μια επιλογή από τις δικές της φωτογραφίες και συνομιλεί με το κοινό.

Βιογραφικό: Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα. Είναι καθηγήτρια πιάνου και συνθέτρια μουσικής. Παρακολούθησε μαθήματα φωτογραφίας με τον Αχιλλέα Νάσιο στην Ελλάδα και συμμετείχε σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις και μία ατομική με θέμα “Βόρειος Αφρική”. Από το 2018 έγινε μέλος της Φωτογραφικής Εταιρείας Κύπρου- Τμήμα Πάφου.
