This photo was taken in Lisbon last October. We were walking around with a friend living in Lisbon who wanted to show me around the city and “his Lisboa”. After a long walk in the city’s neighbourhoods and streets we stopped for a break on the waterfront of the Tagus river. It was a very warm day. The first thing that drew my attention was the solo tree and I just stood there watching people come and go by it. There came along this mother with her little boy in search of a little shade I guess. I didn’t resist to the scene. So I just captured the moment. I just found the moment sweet and tender.
How and when did you start taking photos?
I am not a photographer, far from it, I just love traveling and I click on anything that speaks to me.
What inspires you most?
I like street photography but by far, my favourite element is the sea as you probably have noticed. The sea and anything that is related to it inspire me the most. For this particular capture I think I was just lucky to be at the right place at the right moment.
