I don’ t go to fashion shows because I think what designers do is brilliant. But at the same time, I feel like I want to keep a certain distance from it. I feel I need that distance to deliver. That’s why I need that distance. People often say, “You don’t go to fashion shows? What kind of photographer are you? What the hell is the wrong with you, man?” But that’s what I need in order to be who I am.
